This is the McKnight “Standard” bridge shape. All of our bridges feature a 3/16″ extra wide water buffalo or cow bone saddle which provides more surface contact area for each string plus the added width allows us to adjust the intonation more accurately than with a thinner 1/8″ common saddle.

We offer many bridge pin options and configurations including: fossilized Mammoth or Walrus ivory, camel bone, water buffalo bone, cow bone, ebony, rosewood, boxwood and ivoroid materials.

Optional “Pinless Bridge” shown withan optional ebony “Shadow” feature. The “Shadow” is mechanically pinned and hot hide glued to the bottom of the main bridge, which provides a larger gluing surface footprint without a significant weight increase.

Optional Ebony “Pryamid Bridge” shown with an optional Maple “Shadow” feature. Every “Shadow” is mechanically pinned and hot hide glued to the bottom of the main bridge, which provides a larger gluing surface footprint without a significant weight increase.

Optional Ebony pyramid bridge shown in Ebony. We can also make these in your choice of most exotic rosewoods and even domestic hardwoods.

We also offer Martin style bridges for more traditional designs in ebony or exotic rosewoods of your choice. The one shown is Brazilian Rosewood with a wide saddle for more accurate intonation adjustment.

Sitka spruce, Luckenbooth soundhole cover is now available for any McKnight Guitar. The cover can be installed or removed in seconds. It serves as a feed back buster or to diminish the volume of your guitar for those quiet practice sessions.

Linda Manzer graciously allowed us to use her “Manzer Wedge” design. This gradual taper, from bass to treble, increases the player’s comfort without losing valuable top surface vibrating area or soundbox air volume.

Sunburst Finishes are available as an option. See examples below:
